MACIEJ (A SELFIE)
Once in a while it is good to take a selfie, refreshing those long forgotten snaps on FB, IG, Linked In etc…
This one was a good occasion to do so, as I have got my new setup assembled finally and made myself a test subject. Light is reeeeeeally really good out of this setup and so a decent selfie headshot I believe :) Enjoy!

PORTRAITS FROM THE ROAD
Stories and photographs of people and places visited:
Where cigars are made
Cuba is known for many things and one of them are cigars. I knew I wanted to see how cigars are made and Vinales, a small valley, 180km west of Havana is the capital of cigar making.
We met wonderful people, had local lunch and a lesson of cigar making with all details included.
Hand picked and hand made, makes it a unique and very interesting craft. If you plan you trip to this beautiful island, rich in culture, music and dance and would like to take a day off from busy streets of Havana, this is the place to go.
I was looking for something different than what you would get while being in Havana, Cuba. We hired a local guide and prior to arriving in Havana, we asked him to see if we could spend some time with a local artist, that is creating locally.
We were totally blown away when we had a chance to meet this young gentleman, who is creating in a place that you would never ever have a chance to find.
He creates out of cloth, paper, steel, glue. Something that I never
We hired a great guide (Reynier) from: www.tourbylocals.com
NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS
CAR DETAILING SHOP
This gentleman runs a car detailing shop in Nassau, The Bahamas. We asked him if we could make a couple of portraits of his crew and man himself. He said yeah!
He was extremely, friendly, and open about his job. ITs not easy to run such a business, especially, that Nassau has extremely hot and humid weather all year round! It's hard, but not a bad business, especially on Saturday & Sunday - because it's a church day! IF you want your car to look TOP, he is your go-to man!
NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS
SUNDAY FOOD VENDOR
Traditional food stands on a Sunday afternoon, to feed people after church can be found along the main streets of Nassau. It's a way to repair your budget every weekend, but also a way to connect with people or to showcase your cooking talents. Bahamian faves, such as fried rice, fried conch, mac & cheese, or simply chicken wings are local favorites.
This wonderful lady cooks every weekend and her dishes are well known around the island.
Morning in the small local harbor with the fisherman of Nassau, The Bahamas.
One morning I have asked my friend, who lives in Nassau, if we could go and try to create some photographs of fishermen of Nassau. She said, yeah! for sure, but it has to be really early in the morning. :) And so we did!
Small market, early in the morning had it all! Great characters, stories, and early morning light.
